    BrainDance for Infants
Taught by Carly Karzmer, trained BrainDance instructor
BrainDance is a series of exercises that is comprised of eight fundamental movement patterns that we move through in the first year of life. In this 50 minute class children are offered a space to explore these movements, bond with parents, discover music tempos and speeds, and most importantly have fun! Each class explores dance elements and concepts through multi-sensory experiences, encourages tummy time and promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

    BrainDance Benefits:
  • Brain development stimulated by crawling, creeping, rolling, turning, and music
  • Tummy-time exercises strengthen neck and shoulders used for sitting and writing, as well as alignment of the cervical and lumbar spine
  • Interaction with other children and parents/caregiver
  • Special bonding time between parent and baby
  • Nerve and brain cells connect through whole body movement and sensory stimulation
  • Vertical and horizontal eye tracking
  • Aids in balance and coordination
  • Connects and aligns body
  • Stimulates vestibular system
